From 1982 collected competences on; wood raw material characterization, kraft cooking process, pulp bleaching, pulp refining, enzyme assisted processes, paper production, nano celluloses, xylan extraction, paper converting, printing processes and characterization, paper physics, new products development with incorporation of cellulosic fibers.

From 1987 to 1997 lectured at Universidade da Beira Interior, in the Paper Science Department the following disciplines, Paper Physics, Pulping and Papermaking Technologies.
